The Think Forward Foundation is launching a summer internship program for second-generation young Bulgarians living and studying abroad.
Our goal is to create a meaningful bridge between internationally educated young talents with Bulgarian roots and Bulgarian companies seeking motivated professionals and fresh perspectives. The program is practical, flexible, and focused on real-world professional experience. This initiative is delivered in partnership with BESCO.
Second-generation Bulgarians who are currently enrolled in a university abroad or have recently graduated
All majors and fields of study – from IT and Engineering to Marketing, Finance, Communications, Design, and Business
Bulgarian language proficiency is not required – internships can be conducted entirely in English
What we offer
Real-world professional experience in a Bulgarian company or organization
Duration: At least 4 weeks, with 2 or more months highly recommended
Program period: June – September (the start date is negotiated between the student and the employer)
Compensation is provided by the employer; additional stipends or housing assistance may be available upon request or availability (optional)
Gaining insight into the work culture and business environment in Bulgaria
Building professional networks and community
Community & Enrichment Activities
Social meetups and group events for interns
Weekend retreat (e.g., a group trip to Veliko Tarnovo)
One-day field trips featuring visits to various companies
An opportunity to exchange experience with other young Bulgarians from around the world
Internship areas include:

Each company defines the terms of its own internship – including the format (on-site or remote), duration within the program’s timeframe, fields of work, whether the position is paid or unpaid, and the specific requirements for candidates.
